Because there are different levels of difficulty for each individual, below are some guidelines to check before participating in dance fitness:  1. It is best to dance at your highest possible intensity to reap the benefits of cardio. However, don\'t take it too far that you will have difficulty catching your breath. It is alright if you cannot say any three-word sentence as long as you don’t feel weak or lose consciousness.  2. Moving to your highest range of motion while engaged in dance fitness routines is essential. This is to maximize the flexibility and strength of your muscles. Stretch it as far as you can. However, check that your joints can handle the intensity and speed of the body movements like joint rotations, bends, and sudden strikes. Take it easy if it is too much for you.  3. It is fun to dance in different styles and patterns. However, please be careful with dance workout steps that could lose your balance or make you dizzy, like turning, running, jumping, and other fast or sudden movements. Adjust the intensity of the dance routine by making small, controlled steps. If the movements are too fast for you, shorten the extent of your stretches.'
