'Learn More At: www.SeniorFitnessWithMeredith.com In this video we are switching things up and adding a new type of workout to our lineup, seated boxing workout for beginners. Boxing has always been a great way to get your heart rate up and reap the benefits of a great cardio style workout. Using the same moves that boxers use in the boxing ring can be a great way to stimulate muscles in your arms and core to help strengthen crucial parts of your body. For this session, we are starting from the beginning and you don’t have to have any prior boxing experience to get started. All you need is a chair and some motivation to try it out! Since we are seated in this workout, we will concentrate on basic striking movements with our arms strengthening your upper body from shoulders, upper back, triceps and biceps. This will also help with gaining flexibility and loosening up tighter areas in your back and neck that always seem to weigh us down. This is a beginner session that anyone can participate in and as always, from the comfort of your own home. Remember to only do movements that work for you. Never force movements that may give you pain and discomfort and always remember to drink lots of water. Have a great workout! Team Meredith'
